Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work (Accredited)

This qualification is designed for anyone who needs to or would like to be an emergency first aider in low risk environments. This National Award in Emergency First Aid at Work satisfies the requirements of the regulatory body of First Aid- the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

This course includes a complementary first aid starter kit with booklet for future reference.

This course is designed to offer basic first aid skills and knowledge required to administer emergency first aid at work until someone more qualified is available to take over the situation.

Successful delegates will be able to recognise and treat a wide variety of workplace-related injuries and conditions.

Course Agenda

The course consists of both practical and theoretical activities covering a range of subjects:-

  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Basic hygiene in First Aid
  • Resuscitation
  • Anatomy
  • Minor Injuries
  • Bleeding Control
  • Burns
  • Choking
  • Epilepsy
  • Shock

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor along with a multiple choice paper and a three year qualification will be issued to those who satisfy the criteria.

This course is a one day course from 8.45am for a 9.00am start  until 5.00pm
