Welsh Butcher of the Year Competition 2017 – OPEN NOW!

The hunt for the next champion Welsh Butcher is now on, with applications closing the 9th of November!

We are looking for talented and skilled Welsh Butchers of any age who want to prove they are truly the best in their industry. The competition will be a held in the carcass hall on Monday 27th November 2017 and will run from 9.30am – 4.00pm.

The competition will consist of 3 main tasks; Seam Butchery, Mystery Box Challenge and BBQ Display. In the competition you will be using Welsh Beef, Lamb, Pork and British Chicken. Challenge yourself to battle it out live to be named this years’ Welsh Pork Butcher. We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate and talented butchers who are up for the head to head challenge to produce the best meat display. Premier Young Butcher Competition – Closed till 2018

Premier Young Butcher is open to ALL 18 – 23 year old butchery apprentices throughout the UK. Butchery apprentices from across the UK are being invited to take part in the Competition hosted by Yandell Media at MeatUp in the Arena, Milton Keynes (NEC).
