A starter watercolour course for those who wish to learn the basic techniques of using this medium. The sessions will cover the mixing of greens, advice on paper and materials, wet on wet and watercolour washes. Bring along to the first class a notebook, pen, a tube of ultramarine blue, a sheet of watercolour paper and beg, steal, or borrow a brush. Advice on purchasing materials will be given at the first session.

Seas and Skies in Watercolour with Moya Davern: 14, 21, 28 January, 4, 11 February 09

This popular watercolour course covers tonal painting on the theme of the sea, water and sky. During the course you will cover colour mixing, watercolour techniques, drawing boats, painting waves, waterfalls and reflections. There will also be a study of contemporary artists who have chosen to represent the subject in different styles. You will need to supply your own materials.
