The successful applicant will join our team of tutors to deliver our award winning song-writing workshops for learners with a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and ages, and in a variety of settings that include schools, colleges and community venues.
- Working collaboratively with other LearnThruMusic tutors and staff, the song writing tutor will in the most part focus on helping learners develop their own lyrics, often to incorporate pre-set themes, using a variety of lyric writing techniques.
- You will also encourage learners to practice the delivery of lyrics (e.g. singing/rapping for recording) and explore a range of creative writing techniques. As a song-writing tutor, you work alone or as part of a larger team of musicians, producers and accreditation tutors.
- You will also be required to complete course workbooks with learners to ensure they achieve any accompanying accreditation. It is imperative the successful candidate is able to engage participants in each activity, ensuring all group members contribute to the creative process and lyrical content
Hours: 37.5 per week
Pay: National Minimum Wage
