Vacancy:
Administration Assistant
Elan Valley Trust / Elan Valley Ltd, Rhayader

Do you have a love of landscapes, wildlife, and history, and you are passionate about helping local people get more involved in championing and caring for special places? Elan Valley Trust is looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic young person to provide administrative and research support with work of the Elan Links Scheme and the promotion and development of the Elan Valley as a tourism destination.
Based at the heart of the Elan Valley, you will be part of a dynamic team, delivering the Elan Links: People, Nature & Water Landscape Partnership has secured funding from Heritage Lottery Fund to deliver an exciting programme of 26 exciting projects under 11 strategic objectives which will deliver the above vision.

Your role will be to support the delivery of the entire Elan Links Scheme, and will be tailored to the applicant to some degree, but will involve the following research based tasks to support projects including, recording and transcribing oral history recordings, supporting with the archiving of historical records, evidencing project outputs being achieved, helping to organise public outreach events and attend community events.
An ability to self-motivate, along with being organised and being able to multitask is essential for this role. A suitable degree qualification or previous project experience is desirable, however, concessions will be made for the right candidate who can demonstrate a willingness to learn at interview.

Training provided:
-Full on the job training will be provided by the company, leading to a sustainable job for the right candidate.

Desirable personal qualities:
An ability to self-motivate, along with being organised and being able to multi-task is essential for this role.
An understanding of the issues facing rural Mid Wales.
Interest in management of an important landscape and tourism destination.
