Apprentice Chef Apprenticeship with Latte-Da

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our established kitchen team in our coffee shop/cafe in Crickhowell.

Latte-Da Coffee and Kitchen, Beaufort Street, Crickhowell NP8 1AD

Daily duties:

  • Assisting in food preparation: You will be responsible for peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients, as well as measuring and weighing ingredients according to recipes.
  • Cooking under supervision: You will assist the chefs in cooking various dishes, following their instructions and learning different cooking techniques.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization: You will be expected to keep your work area clean and tidy, as well as wash dishes, utensils, and equipment used in food preparation.
  • Learning menu planning: As an apprentice, you may have the opportunity to learn about menu planning and helping to create new dishes under the guidance of experienced chefs.
  • Observing safety and hygiene standards: You will need to follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the kitchen remains a safe environment.
  • Assisting with inventory management: You may be involved in taking inventory of ingredients and supplies, as well as restocking and organizing the storage areas.

Desirable personal qualities:

You will have a passion for food, presentation, and attention to detail. You must be a team player, have good communication skills and have the personal motivation to want to succeed.

Qualifications required:

No formal qualifications, but you need to be keen to learn and have a real interest in hospitality.
