The Job Role

To manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, preparing menus, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Provides meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership for all aspects of the kitchen and the kitchen team
  • Food ordering and stock control to maintain GPs and control food costs
  • Responsibility for food preparation to a high standard throughout the kitchen
  • Cooking and food presentation to a high-level using quality ingredients – locally sourced wherever possible
  • Menu Creation – to create inspiring and profitable menus
  • Championing Food Hygiene and statutory compliance, maintaining our 5* Food Hygiene record

  • Motivation, ambitious and positive thinking, with a passion for producing outstanding food using first class (local) produce
  • Willingness to develop the business to the next level
  • Have a curiosity and awareness of food trends and the confidence to bring new ideas to the table
  • Excellent leadership skills to develop, maintain and motivate the kitchen team
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Be a self-starter who can take ownership of the kitchen, menus and running of the food operation.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure growth of the team and business

The Person:

You will have the ability to work without supervision whilst maintaining a high level of performance.  You will be customer oriented and friendly with prioritisation and time management skills.  You will be flexible and willing to work weekends and during busy and peak periods.

Welsh Language Requirements:

Speaking: advantageous

Written: advantageous


40 hours per week
