Office Clerk Apprentice

Roy Thomas (Farm Supplies) Ltd. is a small, family run retail and wholesale business specialising in the sale of animal health products and farm supplies.

Daily Duties:

  • Answer phone calls and relay messages to colleagues. Respond to enquiries made by customers about products and services in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Check and send emails.
  • Use office appliances such as photocopier and printers and computers for word processing etc.
  • Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
  • Undertake basic bookkeeping tasks and issue invoices etc.

Desirable Personal Qualities:

  • Welsh speaking
  • Able to work well with others and show great attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Very good organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills
  • Must be reliable and hardworking with the desire to learn.

Qualifications Required:

GCSE (A-C Maths and English)

Welsh Language Requirements:

Speaking: Desirable

Written: Advantageous

Apprenticeship Course:

Level 2 Business and Administration

National minimum wage


16-30 hours per week
