Vacancy:
Trade Counter Assistant

We are currently seeking a Trade Counter Assistant to join a well-established, SME business, based in Wrexham. As a Trade Counter Assistant your role will be to assist with the day to day running of the trade counter and be responsible for assisting potential clients, serving new and existing customers, handling cash and completing sales. You will also be responsible to keep the entire trade counter area neat, clean and tidy, stocked up and in an efficient working environment.
Ensure all customers are served in a timely manner and deliver excellent customer service.
Call support as required, to ensure customers do not have to wait to be served.
Always upsell and cross-sell, offering new products and innovations where possible
Build on and maintain customer relationships.
Ensure daily admin tasks are completed such as counting till cash, receipts and managing incoming emails.
Ensure all products offered are on display.
Ensure all products and displays are priced up.
Manage seasonal promotions.
Work with trade counter manager to ensure compliance in the trade counter environment and operations.
Responsible to work with ‘warehouse’ to ensure that customers are contacted regarding goods ready for collection (keep chasing clients until their goods are collected)

Training provided:
Full on the job training will be provided by the company, leading to a sustainable job for the right candidate

– Working on a Trade counter.
– Knowledge around construction and allied trades.
– Strong communication and customer service ability.
– Consultative – providing product knowledge and solutions.
– Practical mind-set.
