Vacancy:
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be expected to work as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.
The duties of a Warehouse Operative include: loading/ unloading of vehicles and checking in of stock, processing inbound stock and verifying the condition and quantity of goods received, stock checks, inventory control and allocating stock to location, labelling goods and handling returns, picking and packing of orders, use of warehousing equipment to move stock such as pallet trucks, and keeping the warehouse clean and tidy.
This role best suits upbeat and self-motivated individuals who enjoy working carefully, productively and to the best of their ability. The fast paced, energetic environment of the warehouse relies on organisation and efficiency, therefore it is important to ensure that you have a moderate level of fitness to enable you to comfortably carry out your tasks. Many of the tasks expected of a Warehouse Operative may involve a substantial amount of manual handling including bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting. While the relevant training will be issued to successful applicants, having a good range of mobility is also important to ensure you can work safely within health and safety regulations without placing excessive strain on your body.

Desirable Personal Qualities:
Previous experience in warehousing, storage and/or retail is desired but not essential. More important is the willingness to learn and tackle challenges with care and attention to detail.

Pay:
NMW for age +10p per hour

Hours:
40 hours per week
