About the apprenticeship

Duties

Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting fruits, vegetables,
and other ingredients as directed by chefs.

Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintaining the cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces,
equipment, dishes, and utensils, adhering to strict hygiene standards.

Dishwashing: Washing, drying, and properly storing all kitchenware, pots,
pans, and cooking utensils.

Stock Management: Receiving, unpacking, and correctly storing food supplies
and other kitchen ingredients. This includes checking sell-by dates, rotating
stock, and managing storerooms.

Kitchen Operations: Keeping the kitchen environment clean, organised, and
safe by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and disposing
of waste.

Chef Support: Assisting chefs and cooks with any other kitchen tasks as
needed, including helping with basic meal preparation or taking instructions.
