Business Administration Apprentice  Unit 79 Ty Rheoli, Mochdre Industrial Estate,  Newtown SY16 4LE An exciting opportunity to join Control Techniques (Nidec Drives), the role will cover a wide range of duties supporting teams such as HR, Procurement & Purchasing as well as the Project Management Office (PMO).  You will have the chance to rotate around varying departments  and after the first year they will be able to settle into one business administration team.   Summary of Role You will be preparing for a career in Business Administration by learning the necessary skills and gaining experience. The apprentice will be responsible for learning and developing practical skills, participating in classes and other relevant learning experiences onsite or offsite. The individual will be required to observe all health and safety codes, completing tasks and assignments as well as delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders as necessary.   PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  Business Admin: Procurement and Purchasing 
  • Assist in auditing of documents and contracts of terms 
  • Assist in building relationships with organizational networks and external vendors for procurement 
  • Assist in reviewing records to see if work processes and procedures are effective. 
  • Gather list of sellers in line with selection process.  
  • Operate new technologies and software
  • Support procurement activities based on product specifications and customer needs.
 Business Admin: Project Management Office 
  • Scheduling meetings within the PMO and for projects and project managers and taking minutes during meetings 
  • Maintaining tasks and issue logs for the projects they support 
  • Supporting the completion of cost and time sheets for projects and recording project purchases 
  • Assist with updating project schedules and plans when changes are agreed  
  • Assist with keeping records and handling the documentation that projects produce and entering the data needed to generate PMO reports. 
  • Communicating across the office, projects and project stakeholders with information requests, schedule updates and reports. 
 Business Admin: HR Office 
  • Assist HR with the process of recruiting – setting appointments, meeting rooms etc. 
  • Compiling and maintaining paper, digital and electronic employee records, including holiday, and sickness leave. 
  • Supporting HR related training programs, workshops and seminars 
  • Entering employee data into computer database 
  • Support logistics for new hires 
  • Any other duties as deemed fit.

Additional Information
The salary will be £21,000 it will be a 3 year learning contract.
You will study level 2 business administration with Cambrian Training in the first year then progress to a level 3 program there after.

Apprentice Receptionist/Administrator An exciting opportunity to join Montgomery Medical Practice working within Reception. The role comes with additional staff benefits including Blue Light Card eligibility (Discount at major stores/restaurants) Daily duties:
  • Provide high quality administrative support to the practice team.
  • Receive and accurately record requests for home visits, assessing urgency in accordance with the practice protocol. Print off the home visit summary sheets.
  • Type letters and other documents as required.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail (including sorting and routing) Ensure correspondence, reports, results etc. are filed electronically in correct patient record.
  • Ensure telephone calls and enquiries are dealt with in a courteous and timely manner and take messages as appropriate.
  • Action tasks as required.
  • Liaise with patients, members of the public, hospital, and community departments as well as practice staff.
  • Complete filing, send e-mails and undertake scanning of letters.
  • Book in, amend and cancel patient appointments in line with the practice policies ensuring optimum efficiency of the appointment system.
  • Register new and temporary patients and update records as required.
  • Greet and direct patients and visitors accordingly.
  • Respond to the needs of clinicians during surgery.
  • Inform patients of the relevant charges for private services, accept payment and issue receipts if required.
  • Complete start and end of the day procedures including ensuring telephones are diverted as appropriate, updating room schedule and blackboard.
  • Check and action emails daily.
  • Check fridge daily for lab specimens and follow protocol.
General
  • Always observe and follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in training, as required, for skill development and as part of own identified PDP.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of information governance and apply this to work situation.
Any other reasonable duties that may be required. Desirable personal qualities:
  • Good communication skills (written and oral)

  • Able to work as part of a team and be able to communicate with colleagues at all levels

Qualifications required: Good standard of general education. Maths and English GCSE grade C or equivalent Welsh language requirements: Desirable but not essential Apprenticeship course: Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business and Administration Pay: National minimum wage Hours: 37 hours per week

Shift pattern- 4 long days (3 days x 8am-6pm, 1 x 8am-5pm)

Holidays- 6 weeks, plus bank hols

Vacancy: Manufacturing Apprenticeship - CDT Sidoli (Welshpool) Ltd., Henfaes Lane, Welshpool, Powys, SY21 7BE Always on the lookout for great people! Duties: • Working on the manufacturing lines across the manufacturing operation producing high quality desserts • Learning additional tasks and skills in all areas of the manufacturing operation enabling • Assisting in the meeting of daily production plans ensuring the quality standards are met • Operating and running machines in the bakery area to produce mixes, having to follow recipes and product specifications and ensure all the correct process are followed. Complying with the company quality policy and procedures specifically health & safety checks. Following the relevant critical control points in the process for example the sieving of flour etc. Understanding the importance of allergen control • Operating and running the ovens, being able to carry out general maintenance (greasing, cleaning etc). Understanding and being able to adapt baking times and temperatures based on different products and seasonal differences on products • Hand building finishing and decorating cakes and gateaux to the product specification. Desirable Personal Qualities: • We are looking for people who have the ability to work well as part of team as well as being able to work on their own initiative. • Who are flexible and be able to work across a range of different production areas gaining a good level of skill throughout the manufacturing function. • Good communication skills are important being able to communicate with all levels as well as having a good basic level of literacy and numeracy. • We are looking for people who have ambition and want to learn all areas of manufacturing and progress within the business. • People who already possess some of the skills we are looking for and want to be able to progress within a well-established manufacturing operation.
