Vacancy: Manufacturing Apprenticeship - CDT Sidoli (Welshpool) Ltd., Henfaes Lane, Welshpool, Powys, SY21 7BE Always on the lookout for great people! Duties: • Working on the manufacturing lines across the manufacturing operation producing high quality desserts • Learning additional tasks and skills in all areas of the manufacturing operation enabling • Assisting in the meeting of daily production plans ensuring the quality standards are met • Operating and running machines in the bakery area to produce mixes, having to follow recipes and product specifications and ensure all the correct process are followed. Complying with the company quality policy and procedures specifically health & safety checks. Following the relevant critical control points in the process for example the sieving of flour etc. Understanding the importance of allergen control • Operating and running the ovens, being able to carry out general maintenance (greasing, cleaning etc). Understanding and being able to adapt baking times and temperatures based on different products and seasonal differences on products • Hand building finishing and decorating cakes and gateaux to the product specification. Desirable Personal Qualities: • We are looking for people who have the ability to work well as part of team as well as being able to work on their own initiative. • Who are flexible and be able to work across a range of different production areas gaining a good level of skill throughout the manufacturing function. • Good communication skills are important being able to communicate with all levels as well as having a good basic level of literacy and numeracy. • We are looking for people who have ambition and want to learn all areas of manufacturing and progress within the business. • People who already possess some of the skills we are looking for and want to be able to progress within a well-established manufacturing operation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Social Media –Manage and make regular posts in line with our company brand and style on the Group’s different social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter) and LinkedIn channels.
  • Digital Marketing Analytics – Monitoring analytics from Cambrian Training’s social media sites and websites and producing monthly reports.
  • Website Content Management – Website maintenance and up-dates using Word Press (training can be provided). Working with and briefing Cambrian Training’s retained website developer to further develop the websites.
  • Creating & Sourcing Content – Produce articles and new branded artwork using Adobe suite design templates for use online and for print. Production of marketing materials and publications (training can be provided).
  • Ongoing Competitor and Industry Research – Ongoing monitoring of competitors and industry news sources to produce industry and competitor research reports.
  • Marketing Campaigns – Help to deliver digital and traditional marketing campaigns as part of the team in line with the marketing strategy.
  • Events – Supporting the marketing team to deliver Cambrian Training’s events and competitions including helping organise and attend events.
  • Customer Relationship Management – Building a spreadsheet of Cambrian Training’s VIP customers and in conjunction with the Head of Marketing develop a customer loyalty programme.
  • Any other duties as requested by the Head of Marketing.

You will be working directly with employers and apprentices of all ages so the ability to motivate individuals and support them in achieving agreed goals must be one of your attributes to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the proven ability to motivate individuals towards achieving agreed goals.  Ultimately you will gain a huge amount of job satisfaction through teaching your apprentices and achieving their NVQ qualifications Levels 2 to 4.  You can expect to deliver teaching and learning in the workplace on a day to day basis passing on your knowledge and experience as well as undertaking assessments, assisting candidates in the preparation of their portfolio of evidence and carrying out progression reviews.   Similarly, you are expected to support learners to improve their literacy, numeracy and digital skills, and promote the use of the Welsh Language wherever possible.  It is a requirement to have access to your own transport as travel is critical to the position. YOU SHOULD:
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in one of the above sectors
  • Have SRM or Energy qualifications at level 2, 3 or 4 (desirable, not essential)
  • Have experience in leading a team and supervising others (desirable, not essential)
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Have a good level of IT skills and ability to learn new software
  • Hold D32/D33, TAQA or A1 Assessor award or willing to undertake
  • Hold GCSE A* C / 9 – 4 in English and Maths or Level 2 equivalent (desirable, not essential)
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Delivering effective teaching and learning to a caseload of learners in the workplace
  • Development of learner’s skills, knowledge and understanding
  • Plan and carry out assessments to meet the needs of qualification, including in person and online
  • Maintenance of learner records of assessment and progress
  • Engaging with potential employers and learners to identify new opportunities
  • Working with other departments within Cambrian Training to ensure the learner is able to complete their apprenticeship programme in a timely manner
