SHEA Training Scheme (Waste & Recycling)

The SHEA Passport that is also known as the Safety Health and Environmental Awareness Scheme, was developed by the Energy & Utilities Skills Register (EUSR) in partnership with the recycling and waste industry.

The passport scheme is designed for people who require access to operational sites, both permanent and temporary, including all levels of staff such as; operatives, supervisors and management in the Waste & recycling industry.

It is designed to provide on-site evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness to health, safety and environmental awareness.
Achieving a SHEA (Waste Management) Passport card takes one day of training and lasts for three years from the date of issue.

Accreditation
After successful completion of this scheme individuals will be registered on the Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR) database and will receive a photo card.
The SHEA (waste management) Scheme is also affiliated with the nationally recognised Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).

COURSE STRUCTURE

This one day course consists of eight standard modules that are applicable across the utilities industries and also include two that are specific to the waste and recycling industry. Individuals are encouraged on this course to use their experience & knowledge of workplace health, safety and environmental issues.
Brief presentations for each module are followed by a short multiple choice assessment paper. The assessment pass mark for these papers are 80%.

Getting your EUSR card
After successful completion this training we will issue you with a cover note and register you with EUSR. The SHEA (waste management) card will be issued within 28 days.
