Food service business Compass Group UK & Ireland is committed to providing apprenticeships for the next generation of the Welsh hospitality industry.

The company provides its employers with clear career and skills development progression through apprenticeship roadmaps from Level 2 to Senior Manager Degree Level 7.

Thirty-one different apprenticeship programmes, including Culinary, Front of House, Business Management, Human Resources, Events, Finance and Facilities Management, are offered.

Compass Cymru, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, designed and implemented the Apprenticeship Career Progression Roadmaps in partnership with The Celtic Collection, a group of leading hotels and ICC Wales in South Wales. Cambrian Training Company is proud to deliver the apprenticeships.

Launched in April, Compass Cymru has committed to creating 50 apprenticeship opportunities in 2021.

Jonathan Foot, head of apprenticeships and early careers at Compass Group UK & Ireland, says: “Compass Cymru is proud to partner with Cambrian Training, who we work closely with to deliver industry-leading and aspirational apprenticeships.

The company is also collaborating with celebrity chef Bryn Williams to create a cutting-edge culinary training programme designed to build skills and grow the knowledge of apprentices.

The Apprenticeship Programme in Wales is funded by the Welsh Government with support from the European Social Fund.
