This month marks an incredible milestone for Stephen, who celebrates 20 years of service with Cambrian Training Company—a journey defined by resilience, growth, and unwavering commitment.
Stephen joined CTC on 12th September 2005, bringing with him a wealth of experience from the manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing sectors. Having previously managed a factory with over 80 employees and a turnover exceeding £10 million, Stephen’s leadership credentials were already well established. Yet, in 2004, he made a bold decision to step away from work and pursue a BA in Business Management, enhancing his qualifications and reigniting his passion for senior leadership.
His leap of faith paid off. Starting as Executive Officer, Stephen quickly became an integral part of the company’s evolution, earning the title of General Manager in 2007. Over the past two decades, he has witnessed—and helped shape—CTC’s transformation from a modest team of 35 to a thriving group of over 60 employees. Under his watch, the company’s turnover has grown by more than 500%, and its vehicle fleet has expanded from 7 to 31.
Stephen was an integral member of the team on many of CTC’s proudest achievements. He led the company’s Investors in People accreditation, championed environmental standards through Green Dragon, and contributed to ISO 27001 certification. His commitment to continuous professional development saw him achieve Chartered Fellow status with the CIPD, supported by CTC every step of the way.
From coordinating major office relocations to navigating challenging restructures, Stephen has consistently demonstrated strategic foresight and compassion. His role spans HR, environmental management, facilities, safeguarding, and more—making him a cornerstone of the company’s operations and culture.
Over the past 20 years, Stephen has played a pivotal role in the recruitment of 247 employees—reflecting Cambrian Training Company’s impressive growth and his commitment to building a strong, skilled workforce. His influence has helped shape the team, the ethos, and the future of Cambrian Training Company.
