The role
We are looking for an Apprentice Distiller to join our production team. This is a unique opportunity to learn the full distilling process while supporting the Head Distiller with day-to-day operations. You’ll gain practical experience in all areas of production, from raw materials through to bottling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Head Distiller with all aspects of spirit production including compounding, distillations, macerations and lab based new products development
- Preparing and operating equipment, including stills and trouble shooting issues on the bottling line
- Ensuring production areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness for BRCGS compliance
- Recording and monitoring production data accurately via paperwork
- Dispensing botanicals and spices for distillations
- Carrying out routine maintenance and quality checks
About You
- A genuine interest in spirits and distilling
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical processes
- Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a production environment that involves lifting and manual handling
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team
- Good level of personal hygiene
- Must be able to drive

Qualifications required:
Good standard of general education. Maths and English GCSE grade C or equivalent is preferable.

Hours:
37.5hrs per week and hours must be relatively flexible working between 07:00 – 16:00, as we start production around 08:00 so would be beneficial to start around 07:30
